Anthropocentrism and Its Dosconents I broadcast Part I of a 3 Part series of my interview with John Howard Harris Professor of Philosophy at Bucknell University Gary Steiner on his book "Anthropocentrism and Its Discontents: The Moral Status of Animals In the History of Western Philosophy ". This extensive interview covers the major players in the development of the our moral disposition and the way we view and, therefore, treat animals.

This interview will lay the foundation for a series of interviews on human and other-than-human animal relations with the intent to increase interspecies understanding, cooperation and justice.
