Listen to Program: Part1 (58mb mp3) Part 2 (70mb mp3) Part 1 This day I was joined by the musical/lyrical genius Head Roc - Hip Hop/Soul/Rap Artist - who delivers a powerful message on racism, history, imperialism, and many or all of the most timely and critical social issues regarding the survival of the human race. We spun some tracks off his '05 release Negrophobia and a couple of tracks off his upcoming CD (available on Head Roc's Myspace). Part 2 I began the program with a track from Head Roc titled "CIA v Slimkat 78" followed by a feature segment of this program "I've Been to.." with Dr. Reverend MLK Jr. - this time playing the segment of his speech ending with "Only when it is dark enough can you see the stars". Spun Murali Coryell's "Calling from Another Phone" from his new CD "The Same Damn Thing". I also played some ofthe testimony of Iraq Veterans Against the War's Winter Soldier on the Hill backed by some flamenco guitar played by Paco DeLucia. I played some of Henry Threadgill's "Everyone's Mouth is a Book" behind a reading of Professor Francis Boyle's Articles of Impeachment Against GWB and I gave a list of current reading material (including "International Justice and Impunity (the Case of the United States", Boyle's "Destroying World Order: US Imperialism in the Middle East before and After 9/11", Miyamoto Musashi's "The Book of Five Rings", "Jefferson's Eyes" by Dr. Gerry Lower, Human Rights, Human Plights in a Global Village" by Rob Buitenweg, "Iowa Terror" by Mike Palecek...and others).
